Meet Our TRIO Directors
I am honored to work as the Director of the Educational Opportunity Center. I am a graduate of a small rural school in Talladega County called Winterboro. I graduated from Troy with my Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Psychology. My husband was in the military so we spent 20 years moving around the country. We retired in Enterprise and have made it our home for the last 13 years. I have worked at ESCC with Student Support Services for the last eight years. I believe that every student should have access to education, and am passionate about helping individuals overcome any barriers they might have to completing secondary education or enrolling in higher education.
I am proud to serve as a director of the Student Support Services program here at ESCC and help students navigate their higher ed experience. I am a Graceville (Fl)High School graduate, and I attended the University of West Florida for my bachelor’s degree and obtained my master’s in Counseling and Psychology from Troy University. TRIO programs strive to serve students in a way that increases graduation and transfer opportunities. We believe #TRIOWorks not only as a slogan but as a mission…
Welcome to ESCC and potentially to the TRIO family!
I am honored to be the Director of Educational Talent Search and serve the outstanding high school students in our community . After graduating from Northview High School, I earned my bachelor’s degree from the University of Montevallo and my master’s degree from Troy University. I spent twelve years teaching high school English before joining the staff at ESCC in 2009. I have been married to my wonderful husband for fifteen years and we have three beautiful children. We love to travel as a family and cheer on the Atlanta Braves and the Alabama Crimson Tide.
