Dreaming of starting your own business or working your way up to a top management position at a major company? Enterprise State Community College’s business administration and management AAS degree and short-term certificate programs can help you succeed in business, providing the skills needed to launch successful business management careers or to start and run a company.
ESCC’s business administration and management programs give students a solid foundation for business and management careers, providing training in accounting, business writing, human resources management, finance, and more. ESCC instructors introduce students to the latest software and tools used in business management and also provide them with training in soft skills such as public speaking and business etiquette.
There are no pre-requisites for students to enter the business administration and management programs at ESCC. Students can take traditional courses at the ESCC campus or in an online or hybrid class/online format. The program has four tracks:
- Business Administration and Management, accounting option AAS – A two-year degree program focusing on accounting.
- Business Administration and Management, accounting option short-term certificate – A program focusing on accounting that students can complete in less than a year.
- Business Administration and Management, management and supervision option AAS – A two-year program that provides students with a wide range of management skills.
- Business Administration and Management, management and supervision option short-term certificate – A program focusing on a wide range of management skills that students can complete in less than a year.
ESCC’s business administration program prepares students for careers in a variety of business related fields. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median wage for management occupations was $98,560, and accountants have a median wage of more than $67,000.
While you won’t earn this immediately after graduation, an AAS or short-term certificate is an important first step to obtaining the education and experience to moving up the ranks in a corporation or building your own business. Students who complete AAS degrees in business administration and management are well-prepared to pursue further education at four-year university business programs.
