ESCC to Honor Veterans on Nov. 6

Oct. 31, 2013, Enterprise, Ala.– Enterprise State Community College (ESCC) has scheduled a Veterans’ Day program on Nov.6 from 10:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. in the Lurleen B. Wallace Student Center Multipurpose Room to honor all veterans enrolled at the College and in the community.The community is invited to join the students, faculty and staff at Enterprise State Community College to honor our veterans.

“This program is a great way to honor all the veterans and service members at ESCC, as well as, thank all our veterans, service members and their families in our community and around the world,” said Nancy Chandler, Ed. D, president of Enterprise State Community College.“Thank you for your sacrifice and your service.”

The program will include the playing of a medley of military service songs played by Jean Johnson, Ph.D., chair of the ESCC Fine Arts division, a short history of Veterans’ Day and a reading of the President Obama’s Veterans’ Day Proclamation.The ESCC Entertainers under the direction of Ken Thomas, ESCC music instructor and choral director, will delight the audience with patriotic music during the program.

ESCC was recently named a National Military Friendly School by Victoria Media.
