AVL (The Alabama Virtual Library) includes license agreements with 11 premier database providers for 53 distinct databases, many with full text articles, including the popular EBSCOhost and various versions of InfoTrac. With an AVL card, Alabama citizens can access content from their homes, offices or other locations. Students may acquire the AVL card from any ESCC library. http://www.avl.lib.al.us/

CREDO REFERENCE is a user-friendly research tool that offers access to thousands of reference entries from all the major academic subject areas. Users search hundreds of reference books and full-text articles from encyclopedias, dictionaries, thesauri, quotations, numerous subject-specific titles, as well as, 200,000+ images, audio files, and nearly 100 videos all with full citations.
The Vertical File, housed only at the main campus library, contains pamphlets and newspaper articles clipped from local, state, and national newspapers. The articles selected relate to research topics, local and state issues, and historic interests. Selected articles may be photocopied.
