Adult Admissions

  • A First-Time Student is anyone who has never attended any post-secondary institution. In other words, First-Time Students have not earned college credits at any other institution. To be eligible for admission to Enterprise State Community College, the First-Time Student must meet one of the following criteria:

    The student holds The Alabama High School Diploma, an equivalent diploma from another state, or the equivalent diploma issued by a non-public high school that is regionally and/or state accredited; OR

    The student holds a high school diploma equivalent to The Alabama High School Diploma issued by a non-public high school and has passed the Alabama Public High School Graduation Examination; OR

    The student holds a high school diploma equivalent to the Alabama High School Diploma issued by a non-public high school and has achieved a minimum ACT composite score of 16 or the equivalent score on the SAT; OR

    The student holds The Alabama Occupational Diploma, an equivalent diploma from another state, or an equivalent diploma issued by a non-public high school, and has achieved a minimum ACT composite score of 16 or the equivalent score on the SAT; OR

    The student holds a GED certificate issued by the appropriate state education agency.

    The student's official academic transcript must be received by the ESCC Admissions Office before the end of the student's first term of enrollment. If the transcript has not been received, the student's transcript will include the following statement: CONTINUED ENROLLMENT DENIED PENDING RECEIPT OF ADMISSIONS RECORDS. This notation will be removed from the transcript upon receipt of the required transcript.

  • Students who have been previously enrolled at any ESCC campus (Enterprise, Fort Rucker, Mobile, Ozark, Albertville, Andalusia, or Decatur), but have not attended for one or more terms, (not including summer) must complete a Readmissions Application before registering for classes. On the application the student must indicate the last institution attended. If the student has attended another institution/s since being enrolled at ESCC, the student must provide an official transcript from the institution/s or a transient letter. The transcript or transient letter and the Readmissions Application should be returned the ESCC Admissions Office at any of the four campus locations.
  • An applicant who has previously attended another regionally accredited post-secondary institution will be considered as a transfer student. The student must provide official transcripts on all work attempted from all said institutions. ESCC also requires transfer students to provide official student documents required of first-time students. The official transcripts should be mailed to:

    All official academic transcripts must be received by the ESCC Admissions Office before the end of the student's first term of enrollment.     Applicants who have been suspended from another institution will not be considered for admission except upon appeal to the College Admissions Committee. Written requests to appeal admission should be sent to the ESCC Registrar.

  • A Transient Student is someone who is enrolled at an accredited institution and intends to apply and enroll at Enterprise State Community College on a temporary basis with the intention of returning to his or her primary institution. Transient Students are not eligible for Federal Financial Aid.


    In order to enroll as a Transient Student,the following documents must be submitted prior to registration:


    1) Application for Admission and In-State Residency Form
    2) Acceptable form of Identification
    3) Transient Letter - Transient letter from the postsecondary institution in which the student is currently enrolled listing the course or courses the student is approved to take. The transient letter MUST be submitted at the time the student applies for admission.

    Also, the student's ESCC transcript reflecting the credits earned as a Transient Student will not be released to the primary institution until all required admissions documents are received.

    Upon completion of courses, a Transient Student must submit a written request in the Registrar's Office at ESCC to have grades sent back to his or her primary institution.
