  • Dual Enrollment

The Dual Enrollment Program allows eligible high school students to enroll in college classes either on our college campus or at the high school and to receive both high school and college credit. The program is available to qualified students in Alabama public and private high schools.  The qualified schools’ systems must have a Memorandum of Agreement on file with Enterprise State Community College. Ask your guidance counselor if your school has a dual credit agreement.

Students who are home schooled are not eligible for the Dual Enrollment Program unless they are under the sponsorship of  a cover high school that has entered into an agreement with Enterprise State Community College.

    To be eligible, students must:

    • meet the following requirements:
    • enrolled in grade 10, 11, or 12 during the time the course is taken
    • 3.0 GPA in high school courses to take academic courses
    • 2.5 GPA in high school courses to take career/technical courses
    • must comply with ESCC’s placement policy

    • provide a copy of their photo ID
    • complete the following documentation:
    • ESCC Dual Enrollment Application for Admission

The equivalency of Enterprise State Community College courses toward high school graduation requirements is at the discretion of the high school system.

It is very important to remember that the course content and teaching methodology of all classes is at the college level.

Enterprise State Community College will not officially award college credit to high school students until proof of high school graduation (an official transcript with a graduation date) or an official GED certificate.
